The interfaces of the VIN|ING family are oriented toward the latest trends. Innovative vehicle communication concepts are easy to implement with a hardware design tailored exactly to the tasks.


VIN|ING 600 is a compact VCI for mobile use with Diagnostics over Internet Protocol (DoIP). It is a simple way of ensuring communication between a diagnostic app or the Diagnostic Tool Set DTS8 and a vehicle with Ethernet access.

Universal and Flexible

The interface works as a WLAN-Ethernetbridge and is a 1:1 implementation of the Ethernet interface of the vehicle for wireless LAN. Via the standardized D-PDU API (ISO 22900-2), the application communicates with the vehicle via UDS on IP (ISO14229) and DoIP (ISO 13400). This is the interface for the Diagnostic Tool Set DTS8 on a notebook or a diagnostic app on a smartphone. Customized versions can also be implemented on request.

The activation line required for DoIP has a flexible design and can be controlled via software. This means different implementations of gateway ECUs can be taken into consideration and Ethernet communication ensured in all relevant situations.

Easy to use

VIN|ING 600 is easy to use and can be connected with a smartphone like any other standard WLAN device. The device has an eye-catching, ergonomic, compact design that leaves plenty of leg room in the foot well on road tests. Thanks to the light band across the entire housing front, the status of WLAN and Ethernet communication is easy to see from lots of different perspectives. This WLAN bridge is a genuine alternative to a cable with an RJ54 connector - not only for mobile use. This means that familiar problems that often occur because of wear and tear at the connector or cable break, can thus be avoided.

Reliable and Safe

The ECE type approval and the associated EMC tests guarantee the interference-free and safe operation of the device in the vehicle. By using a glass-fiber reinforced and impact-resistant plastic as well as a high-grade OBD connector, the device can also withstand severe strain. Thanks to the WPA2 encryption with PSK, the vehicle data is safe from any attempted eavesdropping over the transmission path.

VIN|ING 1000 is a compact and universal VCI with USB interface. The combination of sturdiness, compact design and attractive price makes this VCI the perfect choice for use in the Manufacturing and After-Sales Service environment.

Reliable Protocol Handling

Data preprocessing and protocol handling in the interface ensure fast response times and reliable real-time behavior regardless of the system environment (e.g. software running on the PC). The most important communication protocols UDS (ISO 14229), KWP 2000 (ISO 14230, ISO 15765) as well as SAE J1939 are supported via the standardized D-PDU API (ISO 22900-2). The VCI can also be used as a PassThru device in accordance with SAE J2534. Together with our Diagnostic Tool Set DTS, an integral solution in accordance with the MCD-3D standard ISO 22900-3 can be realized with ODX technology.

Future-Proof and Flexible

The VIN|ING 1000 can be updated in a software update and can be extended for a range of application scenarios via its USB host interface. Mobile applications can be realized with an optional Bluetooth dongle and upgrading can take place with a USB memory stick. If required, versions with only one CAN highspeed interface or with a sturdy, lockable USB cable are made available. As an additional option, digital and analog I/O interfaces continue to be available.

Excellent Value for Money

The implementation of two separate CAN channels and two K-lines in the compact and sturdy design means VIN|ING 1000 represents unique value for money. One of the two CAN channels can be switched by software between CAN high-speed and CAN fault-tolerant.

Vehicle cables with different types of diagnostic connector are on offer for the D-SUB port. Thanks to the shock-absorbing plastic protective caps the device is protected from detrimental mechanical effects from the outside. Furthermore, the VCI avoids possible damage to the vehicle.


VIN|ING 2000

VIN|ING 2000 is a further powerful VCI for the VIN|ING product family. With a compact design and WLAN, LAN and USB as interfaces to the host system as well as CAN, K-Line and Ethernet to the vehicle, VIN|ING 2000 is particularly well suited for future-proof manufacturing and after-sales service applications.

Remote Applications with D-Server

Thanks to compelling modifications of its predecessor the HSC, VIN|ING 2000 is equipped for innovative and contemporary application scenarios. Highly integrated components and a modular software architecture enable an MVCI diagnostic server to be run on the VCI and stored ODX data to be processed. This enables vehicles in a whole range of mobile applications to be accessed remotely by a tester system.

Use as Stand-alone Diagnostics and Flashing Device

With OTX sequences being run on VIN|ING 2000, entire diagnostic tasks can be processed independently and without a connection to a host system. This makes it possible to realize applications, such as independent programming solutions, actuator diagnostics and other control tasks, simply and at an acceptable price.
